The career assessment program has been designed to help bring clarity to the process of career selection. The participant is assessed in the areas of personality and interests, which provides a good basis to identify various career directions that would be most suited to the participant. From the results of the assessment a comprehensive report is created which is then discussed in detail during a ninty minute feedback session.
What Assessments are used?
Myers Briggs
This test is based on Jung's theory of types and is concerned with the differences in the way people perceive and in the way they make decisions. It can be used for career guidance - to guide choice of school subjects, occupations and work settings and to relate to career opportunities and demands to MBTI preferred modes of perception and judgment. It can also be used to help a student understand her personal learning style and approach her studies accordingly.
The tests will be administered by Mrs. Judy Baird and Mrs. Jodie Thelning, registered Psychologists and members of the Australian Psychological Society.
Cops Interest Inventory
This is a self-administered inventory in which students indicate the degree to which they would like or dislike 168 separate activities related to work performed in a variety of occupations. The COP System is designed to help young people plan their career. The first step in career planning is to define the kinds of work you are interested in doing. The COPS inventory will help a student compare the relative strengths of their interests in activities performed in a great many different occupations.
Cost of the program - The career assessment program is $195.00 This includes Assessment materials, comprehensive report, 90 minute feedback session and GST.
Getting Started
Simply email or phone our office, upon receipt of a deposit, via credit card, cheque/money order, we will send you the assessments complete with instructions and a postage paid return envelope. Once we have received your assessment back we will confirm your 90 minute face to face appointment.
